The 1st annual Day of Service at Harvard is fostering collaboration across the University in a collective effort to promote civic engagement and social awareness through meaningful service. The event brought together Harvard undergraduate and graduate students, alumni, as well as faculty and staff, to volunteer at service agencies such as Habitat for Humanity and the Greater Boston Food Bank. By addressing a range of community needs, the Day of Service also fostered ongoing partnerships between Harvard students and service organizations in Boston and Cambridge. The Day of Service represents an exciting new partnership between the Harvard Graduate Council (HGC), the Undergraduate Council (UC) and the Phillips Brooks House Association. All three student-run organizations share a common commitment to fostering social responsibility and civic engagement. Register or view all Day of Service projects.
